April Lockhart

April Lockhart was born on July 4, 1995. When she was in the seventh grade, she started playing the guitar as well as taking piano lessons, sparking her love for writing songs. April Lockhart penned her first single, Different at the age twelve years old. When April was 14 years old, she dedicated an enormous amount of time creating song ideas and perfecting the music. Soon after, April started traveling with her father and write at home in NY as well as LA. April added other themes to the track "Take My Hand" to help her acquaintances who faced issues such as peer pressurization issues, or even teenage suicide. We have many different aspects, that our identities and physical self aren't as they seem. Lockhart tells Lockhart in a video interview "I am not convinced that my physical appearance should define me. It's not my intention to influence disabilities because I've got many more things to contribute." My daily life isn't affected by it. I lead a normal day-to-day life and discover my own solutions to issues. However, it's a component of me so I think it's important to talk about. Lockhart has been a great inspiration to her fellow women with regards to self-acceptance. She admits that she's been through phases with her body, at times, being unsure about wearing certain types of clothing showing off her arms. The woman now puts on whatever clothes she wishes and shares pictures on Facebook with pride. What makes self-love so appealing to her is that it's not an end place to go. However, that is common for anyone who has insecurities. It's important to be around individuals who truly understand the person you are.
